What is attachment-focused therapy?

Attachment-focused therapy aims to create the conditions of childhood where we would have ideally been cared for and nurtured as we entered the world. Circumstances often occur where these conditions are not met, and we struggle later on in our lives to feel safe, connected and truly alive in the world. To have the chance to venture back into this territory (through the present moment) and meet some of our unmet needs, can be a transformative journey. I seek to collaborate with you and explore this territory of unmet needs that may have resulted in confusion, stuckness and unhappiness. I use a variety of exercises to help you recognize emotions and patterns so that you can understand yourself better and feel capable of feeling, communicating and acting differently. I believe everyone is unique and has different needs but I also honor universal emotional themes that connect us as humans and I use my intuition to help guide you in a process of discovery.
